Midlands Gives brings the brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for local nonprofits in 11 Midlands counties. In addition to being a year-round resource for donors across the Midlands, the initiative amplifies donations during an 18-hour online giving challenge on Tuesday, May 4th!
Money raised through Midlands Gives will fund the upcoming launch of our Pre-Employment Transition Services for individuals with autism. Pre-ETS will include job exploration counseling, work-based learning, counseling on opportunities for postsecondary education, workplace readiness training, and self-advocacy. 35% of young adults with autism do not hold a job or further their education after high school; Pre-ETS will work to diminish this number in our community and ignite real change.
