We understand the unique needs of autistic adults, and our residential program at Unumb Place offers personalized care that empowers each individual to live happy and fulfilling lives while receiving the support they need to succeed.
Our team focuses on:
What is a community training home II?
A Community Training Home II offers residents the opportunity to live in a homelike environment in the community with support from qualified and trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DSPs provide a Medicaid waiver service called “residential habilitation,” which is care, supervision, skills training, and supports that promote choice, independence, and community engagement. Residents are encouraged to create their own personal space while living in shared home with three others.
What are the eligibility requirements?
To be eligible for HCBS residential funding, an individual must first be on South Carolina’s Intellectual Disability and Related Disabilities (ID/RD) waiver. Additionally, in most cases, in order to tap into the “residential habilitation” funding for staffing in the home, an individual must have been placed on the DDSN residential waiting list by his or her case manager.
Where are residential services located?
Unumb Place is located at 201 Duffie Drive in Lexington, SC.
What are the costs?
Staffing in the homes is paid by an individual’s Medicaid funding under the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver.
Monthly rent and community fees are approximately $1,500 per tenant/bedroom. All CTH IIs have four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. This fee covers all utilities, food, and amenities, but it does not include direct support staffing.
What will monthly residential fees cover?
